Four decades in the contract

Practika, a Thai furniture company founded in 1986 by two architects, has become a leading center for custom-made industrial furniture.
Today, with nearly 40 years of experience and over 500 employees, Practika continues to uphold world-class manufacturing standards, crafting bespoke furniture solutions that perfectly meet every project’s needs.

Our journey began as a small furniture workshop we proudly called “Thai Craft Village”, born from the belief that Thai craftsmanship possesses a level of quality and artistry equal to international standards.

We relocated to our new home in Sai Mai, on our own premises a move that marked the beginning of our growth and business expansion.

A major opportunity came with a clearer business direction.
We were entrusted to produce furniture for Volkswagen’s first showroom and office in Thailand, a milestone that made us realize our true potential and expertise in the contract furniture business.

Practika’s proprietary strength after fully entering the contract furniture market, we enhanced our production capabilities with a wide range of advanced machinery, enabling us to deliver large-scale custom-made furniture through an industrialized system.

2006
Practika began registering intellectual property patents for product designs in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Asia, and Thailand.
That same year, we proudly showcased our desking system at Orgatec, the world-renowned office furniture fair held in Cologne, Germany.

Our conference table featuring the “Mega Foster” legs won both the Prime Minister's Export Award and the Design Excellence Award.
Meanwhile, the “Ripple Coffee Table”, inspired by overlapping raindrop ripples, received the FDA Grand Award in the Young Designers category at the Furniture Design Award 2009 in Singapore and the Design Excellence Award 2009 (DEmark) in Thailand in the Lifestyle Products category.

After earlier setbacks in implementing a quality management system in 2002, Practika achieved success in 2014 by obtaining ISO 9001:2008 certification for the design, production, installation, and service of organizational furniture.
Practika became one of the few furniture manufacturers in Thailand to receive this company-wide certification.
Additionally, the company planned to transition to ISO 9001:2015 in 2017.

The “dEsK me UP” product was designed with a DIY concept, allowing easy assembly and customized placement of trays and accessories around the desk-such as power outlets, tablet holders, stationery compartments, and cup holders.
This versatile desk adapts to any type of work and user preference, and was honored with the Good Design Award under the Thailand-Japan Design Award Partnership.

We received certification for Standards in the Prevention and Resolution of Drug Issues in the Workplace, recognizing our effective management in preventing and addressing drug-related problems according to established workplace standards.

We are proud that Practika’s furniture became part of the New Parliament Building, manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring high-quality products and services that meet every requirement.Our work has been recognized and trusted by leading national organizations, and we are honored that our premium furniture was selected as official equipment for the New Parliament Building.

Practika, the first owner of Industrial Customized Seating copyright in Thailand, was inspired by the diverse needs of customers for chairs that differ in design and materials—including wood, metal, leather, and fabric.

The year 2022 marked a great honor for Practika, as we collaborated in designing and producing furniture for the Chaipattana Foundation established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great to improve the economic and social well-being of the Thai people.
Under the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Phattharaphat Project was launched to add value to products made from reed mats, supporting farmers producing the 105 royal rice varieties.
Practika incorporated reed mats into the design of sofas, stools, and partitions, showcasing the unique charm of Thai weaving craftsmanship to the world a project made possible through the incomparable royal benevolence.

Practika Factory has been certified for Occupational Health & Safety Management and Environmental Management under ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Maintaining high-quality production, workplace safety, and occupational health management has always been a top priority for Practika.
Today, we have elevated our factory to an international standard with ISO 45001:2018, demonstrating our commitment to continually improving products and services to deliver the very best to our valued customers.

Practika, in collaboration with TasteSpace, presents an interpretation of share/chair through the concept of “FLOW”.
Here, share represents sharing, chair refers to anything you can sit on, and FLOW embodies a sense of fluid movement. The design combines Practika’s innovative production techniques with the spirit of eco-conscious Thai craftsmanship, resulting in seating with flowing forms made from recycled materials, full of creativity and sustainable design.
